gite d'étape and eveningmeals

& breakfast for hikers and riders
The gîte d'étape "Le Refuge des
Camisards" is open off April, untill the end of
November. It is well equipped for 12 people.

In the peripherical zone of the Cvennes National Park
more than 3000 km of hiking paths (petites
randonnées - PR's and grandes randonnées - GR's")
are marked out and waiting for your passage..
Hikers (with or without donkeys)
and riders are welcome in Lou Rey for breakfast or
eveningmeal on request in the
auberge. The accomodation can lodge up to 12 people.
For lodging you can choose out of the gite d'étape, an
original and traditional cottage, or a chambre d’hôtes
- guest room.
The auberge
welcomes you to take a good meal and forces for the next
stage (and the following ones).
Hiking and equestrian paths are very close to Lou Rey.
Riders or hikers companied by a donkey, can lodge
horse or donkey in the meadows with enclosures . They can be saddled or shoed under shelter.
Supply on water, hay and complements are available on the
spot.
To rent an ass, please contact Gentianes
who will take care of the organization of your travel with
a donkey of pack.

In every season we can organize itinerant excursions, we also can
advise and indicate you the possible
following stages to discover interests in nature,
architectural heritage, gastronomy
or landscapes.
The hiking track G.R.44B crosses the proprerty. Documentation about regional
hiking tracks : PR's
and GR's are at your disposal on the spot.
Forest foodpaths will you reveal the Cevennes secrects,
fauna, flora, ...
Of half September
till half November a sweet
chestnut-sojourn or mushroom-sojourn (depending on the atmospheric conditions), with
in the evenings an
open fire to roast chestnuts and fry the gathered
mushrooms in the common room.
Conviviality and good atmosphere garanteed !
